Crew Hours That Land on the Job Cost, Not in a Shoebox
Hours captured on a phone, a jobsite kiosk, or a paper sheet only matter if they reach the right cost code before closeout. Fintra is building field time tracking that ingests connected hours and feeds them straight into job cost and payroll, so labor shows up while you can still act on it.
Illustrative - in active development
One place for hours, however they were captured
Crews record time differently: a foreman on a phone, a kiosk at the trailer, a paper sheet on a remote pour. The problem is never the clock, it is that those hours arrive late, uncoded, and disconnected from the job, so labor cost lags the field by weeks. Fintra is building field time tracking that pulls those connected hours into one place, codes them to the job and cost code, and pushes them into job cost and payroll the same day.
What field time tracking does
- Ingests hours from mobile, a jobsite kiosk, or a keyed paper sheet
- Codes each entry to the job, phase, and cost code
- Feeds job cost and WIP so labor lands while the job is still open
- Feeds payroll, including the certified-payroll and prevailing-wage engine in build
- Geofenced clock-in and biometric verification are on the roadmap, not live
From the field hour to the sealed dollar
Field hours are the front of the same governed loop that ends at cash. On the Fintra ledger, connected hours drive real-time job cost and WIP, flow onto the AIA pay application as labor, and feed the payroll run, which is sealed to the evidence ledger. Because it is one record, the labor you billed, the labor you costed, and the labor you paid all come from the same hours instead of three systems you reconcile at closeout.

Frequently asked questions
What is field time tracking?
It is capturing construction crew hours from the field - mobile, a jobsite kiosk, or a paper sheet - and getting them coded to the right job and cost code so they feed job cost and payroll, rather than arriving late and disconnected from the work.
Is field time tracking live in Fintra today?
Basic connected-hours ingestion that feeds job cost is in active development on the live ledger. Advanced capture like geofenced clock-in and biometric verification is on the roadmap, not shipped.
Does it support geofencing and biometrics?
Not yet. Geofenced clock-in and biometric verification are on the roadmap. Today the focus is landing coded field hours into job cost and payroll reliably from mobile, kiosk, or keyed paper.
How do field hours reach payroll?
Coded hours feed the payroll run on the same Fintra ledger, including the certified-payroll and prevailing-wage engine that is in build, so the labor you cost and the labor you pay come from one source.
