What AR automation in Fintra does

Accounts receivable is where revenue turns into cash - or where it gets stuck. Manual AR means re-keying invoices, reconciling deposits by hand, and remembering to chase. Fintra automates the loop: invoices post to the ledger, ACH payments reconcile against them, aging and DSO recompute continuously, and the collections agent drafts reminders for the accounts that need them.

  • Invoices post to AR on the general ledger - one source of truth
  • ACH collection via Increase, reconciled against the receivable
  • AR aging buckets and DSO computed from live balances
  • Collections agent drafts dunning by aging bucket for human send

AR aging buckets in Fintra

The collections agent reads these buckets and drafts a reminder tuned to each - a gentle nudge at 1–30, a firmer message at 61–90 - so the tone matches the age of the debt.

Dunning that a person still approves

  • get_ar_aging returns the breakdown by bucket with the invoices in each
  • draft_payment_reminders composes messages for overdue invoices (read-only preview)
  • send_payment_reminders emails them - but only after human confirmation
  • Every send is logged, so you have a record of what was chased and when

Ask the copilot about your receivables

The finance copilot answers questions like “how much is 90+ days overdue and who owes it?” using your real AR data. It cites the actual numbers, never invents a figure that is not in the data, and suggests concrete next actions with deep links to act on them.

Frequently asked questions

What does accounts receivable automation include?

In Fintra it includes posting invoices to the ledger, collecting by ACH, reconciling payments against receivables, computing AR aging and DSO from live balances, and drafting dunning reminders by aging bucket. The goal is to remove the manual re-keying, reconciling, and chasing that make AR slow.

Does AR automation send reminders without me?

No - and that is deliberate. The collections agent drafts reminders as a preview, but sending them requires explicit human confirmation. You keep control of every customer-facing message while the agent handles the work of writing and organizing them by aging bucket.

How is DSO calculated in Fintra?

DSO (days sales outstanding) is derived from your live receivables and sales, and it updates as invoices post and payments reconcile. You see it alongside AR aging in the report builder, so the receivables trend is always current rather than a month-end reconstruction.

Can I see which invoices are most overdue?

Yes. AR aging breaks receivables into current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, and 90+ buckets with the invoices in each, and you can ask the copilot directly - it answers from your real data with the specific balances and customers, plus links to act on them.
