Fintra Feature
An AR aging report that is always current
What the AR aging report shows
An AR aging report groups every open receivable by how overdue it is, so you can see at a glance which cash is at risk. In Fintra the report is not a monthly export: it is computed from live invoice balances, so it reflects the payment that reconciled this morning.
- Standard buckets: current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, and 90+ days overdue
- Computed from live AR balances on the ledger, not a stale snapshot
- Drill from a bucket to the specific invoices and customers in it
- Feeds DSO and the collections agent’s dunning cadence
Reading the buckets
| Bucket | Signal | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Current | Healthy | Monitor |
| 1–30 | Early late | Friendly reminder |
| 31–60 | Attention | Firm reminder + call |
| 61–90 | At risk | Escalate to owner |
| 90+ | Collectability risk | Final notice / write-off review |

Built into the report builder
AR aging is one view in Fintra’s report builder, which turns a spec of metrics, dimensions, and filters into a chart-ready report. You can slice receivables by customer, salesperson, or period, and compare across periods: all role-scoped so people see only what they should.
Questions people ask
What is an AR aging report?
An accounts receivable aging report groups open receivables by how overdue they are: typically current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, and 90+ days. It shows which cash is at risk and where to focus collections. Fintra computes it live from ledger balances, so it is always current.
How often does the aging report update?
Continuously. Because the report is computed from live invoice balances rather than a monthly export, it reflects payments as they reconcile. There is no “run the aging report” step at month-end: it is always up to date.
Can I see which customers are in the 90+ bucket?
Yes. You can drill from any bucket to the specific invoices and customers in it, and you can ask the copilot directly: it answers from your real AR data with the balances and names, plus links to act on them.
How does the aging report relate to DSO?
The aging report shows the distribution of overdue receivables; DSO summarizes the average collection lag as a single number. Both derive from the same live AR data in Fintra, so the report explains the story behind the DSO figure.
